Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

LaneLoop helps people discover restaurants and places through creator video clips and map-based browsing. This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

What LaneLoop is

LaneLoop is a restaurant and place discovery platform. You can browse maps, lists, and individual place pages, watch linked creator clips, save places for later, and submit new restaurants for review.

Information we collect or process

The information LaneLoop processes depends on how you use the service. We may process:

  • Information you voluntarily submit through forms, such as restaurant submissions, contact details, or Pro setup information.
  • Technical and operational information needed to run, secure, and improve the service, such as request logs, device/browser type, and error diagnostics.
  • Saved place identifiers stored locally in your browser when you use Saved on a device.
  • Account information if you choose to sign in with Google when consumer account features are available.

Google Sign-In

If consumer Google sign-in is enabled, LaneLoop uses Google OAuth for authentication and account functionality only. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, Google Drive, or other Google services beyond what is needed to sign you in.

Depending on your Google account settings and the scopes approved during sign-in, LaneLoop may receive basic account information such as a Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile image.

Signing in with Google creates or accesses a consumer account so features such as cross-device Saved sync can work. Signing in with Google is not the same as agreeing to marketing communications.

Saved places

Today, Saved places may be stored locally in your browser on the device you use. Saved data on a device is not automatically available on other devices unless and until signed-in sync is enabled for your account.

If you sign in, LaneLoop may store your Saved places in association with your account so they can sync across devices. You can remove Saved places from your device or account using in-product controls where available.

User-submitted content

When you submit a restaurant or related content, we process the information you provide so we can review, moderate, publish, or reject the submission. Submissions may be reviewed manually before appearing publicly.

If authenticated submissions are enabled in the future, we may associate certain submissions with the account used to submit them.

Restaurant and Pro functionality

Restaurant-owner and LaneLoop Pro flows are separate from normal consumer accounts. Pro setup, verification, and billing relate to a specific restaurant or pin, not to a general consumer login.

Payments for Pro or related restaurant services may be processed by Stripe. LaneLoop does not store full payment card numbers on its own systems.

Service providers

LaneLoop uses trusted service providers to operate the product. Depending on the feature used, this may include providers such as:

  • Supabase for database and authentication infrastructure.
  • Vercel for hosting and deployment.
  • Stripe for payment processing related to restaurant Pro services.
  • Sentry for error monitoring and operational diagnostics.
  • Resend for transactional email delivery where enabled.
  • Google for optional consumer sign-in and for map-related links users choose to open.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention on certain public forms.
  • Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics for aggregated usage measurement where enabled.

Cookies and local storage

LaneLoop may use cookies, local storage, and similar browser technologies for essential site operation, session management, security, Saved places on your device, and operational analytics where enabled.

Admin and consumer sessions, where used, are kept separate. We do not use Saved local storage for advertising profile building.

Marketing and communications

Signing in with Google is not marketing consent. LaneLoop does not treat account creation as permission to send promotional email, restaurant alerts, or advertising audience use.

If LaneLoop offers marketing emails, product alerts, or similar communications in the future, they will require separate explicit opt-in where required. You will be able to opt out of marketing communications where those features are offered.

Data security

LaneLoop uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate LaneLoop, maintain accounts and Saved data, review submissions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods may vary by data type and feature.

Your choices and rights

Depending on how you use LaneLoop, you may be able to remove Saved places from your device, sign out of an account, adjust browser storage, or opt out of marketing communications if and when offered.

You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account-related information where applicable. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

Children's privacy

LaneLoop is intended for general restaurant discovery use and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to LaneLoop without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can review the request.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the service where appropriate.
